Come hang out for the afternoon with Authors from around the country. Enjoy meeting some of your favorite authors or even get to know those that you don't know. There is a wide variety of genre's that will be attending the event. You can even purchase a lunch ticket and enjoy some 1:1 time getting to know them.
Hear from young adult author Maggie Ann Martin as she reads excerpts from her body-positive novel, TO BE HONEST, answers live viewer questions, and shares a sneak peek of her latest work about a queer, plus-sized ballerina who loves to prove people wrong.

I’ll be a featured author at this celebration of literary arts along with Isaac Pressnell from Graceland University. I will be at the DMACC WEST Campus.
Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., six authors with Iowa connections will join together for a Book Fair that will also include a consultant from Usborne Books. The authors will be available to sign and sell books and visit with community members in the library meeting room. Each author will also be speaking during two storytelling sessions. “Local Lore” will be presented at 1 p.m., and again at 3 p.m. in the Kinne Wing of the library. These are free, but a freewill donation will be collected.
